Project Description
This client came to Fairhills, asking for a revamp of their all-important high level front of house lighting. I was involved with the gutting and refurbishment of this colossal building several years ago with the main electrical contractor, so it made sense to carry out this intrusive and sensitive set of works
Each night we drove a 40ft cherry picker (MEWP) past the Bank of England and into the building. Each of the 96 chandeliers was rewired. DALI control was removed and a new Mains dimmable system was installed. The settings are fully automated 24/7/365.
We also refurbished their main circular Stage LED which is a focal point in the impressive ‘banking hall’. We continue to optimise this client’s building for any possible energy savings. A large consumer of energy, we have carried out LED replacements, electric induction installation and removal of gas, PIR controlled lighting, among many other things.
It is an ongoing project spanning several years. With their investment, we continue to significantly reduce their energy bills.
